Cobalt Housing has been awarded a nationally-recognised accreditation for its commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in its communities.
The Liverpool–based housing association, which provides nearly 6,000 homes in the Croxteth, Fazakerley and Norris Green areas, has achieved the prestigious HouseMark ASB endorsement.
The accreditation is awarded by HouseMark, a national organisation jointly owned by the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Housing Federation, which is the country’s leading provider of support to social housing organisations.
It challenges social landlords to demonstrate to their tenants, partners and the wider community that they take anti-social behaviour issues seriously and provide a high-quality service.
In order to gain the accreditation, Cobalt Housing was assessed against a set of expectations and best practice in tackling ASB.
Cobalt’s effective partnership working was praised, recognising the dedication of staff who work with the police, local authorities and other partners to tackle ASB and support residents.
Steve Jones, anti-social behaviour manager at Cobalt Housing, said: “It is a fantastic achievement to have our work recognised by HouseMark.
“We are extremely proud of the excellent service we provide to our customers and the personal commitment of our staff to tackling anti-social behaviour in our communities.
“The accreditation is a fantastic reward for the work of our anti-social behaviour team and the resources, that with the help of our partners, we have invested in the service.”
Alan Rogers, managing director of Cobalt Housing, added: “I’m delighted that we have received national recognition for our work.
“This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to dealing with this important issue and we will continue to work very closely with local services to make our communities safer.”
