We think you’ll agree we’re getting spoilt by the bank holidays recently – right?!

If you’re struggling for something that’s going to entertain the kids over the three-day weekend, here’s our suggestions:

Top Free Things To Do In Liverpool

Sefton Park

It’s a walk in the park… literally. Sefton Park is an impressive 235-acre park which is Grade 1 listed and is the perfect place for a stroll, picnic or even a run. The park is even home to Palm House which has lots of events going on including a café, children’s playground and more!

Other parks to check out are:

  • Croxteth Hall & Country Park
  • Chavasse Park
  • Norris Green Park
  • Birkenhead Park

Royal Albert Dock

If the sun is out, then a walk around the albert dock is the perfect way to spend your weekend. Bonuses include ice cream, stunning views of the river Mersey and even easy access to museums such as the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

Museum of Liverpool

We bet you didn’t know that the Museum of Liverpool is the largest museum dedicated to a city in the UK – that’s impressive, right?

Other free museums in Liverpool city centre include:

  • World Museum
  • Tate Modern Gallery
  • International slavery museum

Visit the central library

If you’re an eager bookworm this is the perfect place for you to zone out over the three-day weekend. You could take a break in the café, let the kids play on one of the XBOX’s or even see some of the best views Liverpool has to offer on the rooftop.

Walk along the waterfront

Here’s a fun game you can play while you walk, start at the Liver Building and walk straight down to the M&S Bank arena – see how many famous buildings you can see on the way.
