Cobalt Housing celebrated the unsung heroes in their local community at the first ever Cobalt Community Awards event.

The awards, hosted by the Cobalt Housing team, promoted and celebrated the outstanding achievements of groups and individuals within Croxteth, Norris Green and Fazakerley.

The Cobalt Community Awards were held at the Suites Hotel in Knowsley, Liverpool on Thursday 14th November.

The awards were launched at the Altogether Festival in August, and the public submitted nominations for seven award categories.

Alan Rogers, Chief Executive at Cobalt Housing, comments:

“There are many individuals and community and voluntary organisations playing a pivotal role in changing the lives of others. They don’t shout about it; they are not looking for recognition, but they do ‘something special’ because they genuinely care and want the best for others.

“Community spirit has always been high here in Liverpool, and we are proud to work alongside some inspirational community groups and individuals that make our area a great place to live.

“This is our first awards evening that publicly celebrates the achievements of these individuals and groups, and we are delighted to bring so many people together for the Cobalt Community Awards. Congratulations to all our nominees and winners”.
