Year five pupils at Our Lady & St Swithins Primary School in Croxteth are running a project where they are looking at the development of their local area. As part of their project pupils are investigating how Croxteth has evolved over the years through different regeneration projects to improve the area.

This week, our Croxteth Neighbourhood Manager, Jill Roberts, was interviewed by year five pupil, Thomas, about our development projects. Thomas asked:

  • How long we have been looking after homes in Croxteth?
  • What type of houses do we own in Croxteth?
  • What have Jill and her team done to develop the Croxteth area?
  • How has Cobalt Housing helped development in the Croxteth area?

At Cobalt Housing, we aim to enhance the lives of residents by developing and supporting community projects and developments. Since 2003 we have been taking care of homes in Croxteth and our neighbourhood and development teams are continuing to create neighbourhood that both current and future residents can be proud of.

Jill explained how her team alongside our development team are looking to build new homes for older residents that focus on our tenants wants and needs. We are also looking at how we can make Croxteth a eco-friendlier place to live by looking at more green spaces for our communities to enjoy. We know how much pride our Croxteth residents take in their community which is why we are making sure we develop projects that make our neighbourhoods a safe and great place to live.

Thank you so much for Thomas for being very polite, kind and enthusiastic about the development of Croxteth. It was lovely to hear how proud you are of your community.

Have your say!

We will be holding housing drop in surgeries over the coming months in our communities where we will be asking our tenants, “what type of homes should we be building?” Make sure you’re following our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for more information.
