Due to the developing Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, advice and information is changing daily, we are prioritising getting all key messaging out to our tenants as soon as possible.

We’ve recently put out information signposting our Cobalt Tenants to call the Liverpool City Council helpline if they need support from a local foodbank. However, we are now kindly asking our tenants to not call that number and to call our team on 0330 303 2222.

The Liverpool City Council helpline is currently in high demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are requesting that Housing Association tenants get in touch directly with their landlords.

We are now able to signpost our tenants to foodbanks in our area and can also provide you with an online voucher to access your local foodbank.

When calling our team, we are kindly reminding our tenants to please let us know if you are self-isolating and unable to leave your home, so we can notify the foodbank.

Food banks are continuing to OPEN one centre in North Liverpool each day, you can only access these food vouchers with a voucher. These centres are:

North Liverpool

  • Christ Church Norris Green
  • All Saints, Stoneycroft
  • Christ Church Anfield
  • St Andrews Church, Clubmoor
  • Kensington and Fairfield Centre
  • Good Shepard, Croxteth
  • St Johns, Tuebrook

Important Information about the foodbank:

  • Our community foodbank main priorities are ensuring that people are kept safe through the COVID-19 pandemic. They will continue to deliver food to people to those in a crisis, adapting to changing circumstances
  • The priority for the foodbanks are to provide emergency food for those in a crisis
  • You cannot self-refer to a foodbank, Cobalt Tenants who are in crisis need to call our team to be referred
  • Foodbanks are moving to prepacked emergency food packages: these food packages will provide three days of emergency food for single people and families, and will be distributed initially from distribution points (listed above)
  • The packs are being put together are produced in a centralised facility, and are following strict public health guidelines
  • The are integrating non-standard non-chilled foodbank items such as fruit, vegetables and bread to support local businesses and to provide a fuller more healthy food package.
  • They are offering a limited delivery service for those unable to access a centre
