From the 8th – 12th November, we will be pledging our support for Talk Money Week 2021!
With the recent rise in energy prices, the £20 cut to Universal Credit and the end of the furlough scheme, there is no better time to start talking about money.
Despite the COVID-19 crisis affecting our finances, 9 in 10 UK adults (that’s 47 million of us!) don’t find it any easier to talk about money, or don’t even discuss it at all. Hundreds of our tenants are missing out on ways they can get help because they aren’t getting in touch with us to talk about their situation. ⠀
People who talk money are statistically proven to make better and less risky financial decisions, have stronger personal relationships, help their children form good lifetime money habits, and feel less stressed or anxious and more in control. ⠀
Whether it’s completing a benefits check, signing up for local food pantries, budgeting for a monthly benefit payment, getting help with your utility bills or accessing pension support, we can really help you to get to know your money better.
Join us next week for a competition, advice, tips and tricks that will help you maximise your income and make you more comfortable talking about money!
