About the role

You will play an integral role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents through expert technical advice and effective management of fire safety practices. You will ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Health & Safety legislation, and all associated regulations.

As a key member of the Building Safety Team, the Fire Safety Lead will take responsibility for delivering a highly professional service that actively manages fire safety and maintenance, ensuring assets across the Cobalt property portfolio remain compliant with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

This opportunity will require a qualified fire professional, who can demonstrate previous fire safety management experience. You will be adaptable, have excellent open communication skills, have an eye for detail and be able to inspire and influence others.

Role Summary

Excellent knowledge of fire management systems, and the continual development of the asset database and records will be expected to ensure full compliance.

Excellent knowledge of fire safety and maintenance management and the effective implementation of data collection activities, reporting, record keeping, contract management, repair and maintenance activities and the provision of accurate and timely information for stakeholders will always be expected.

The role holder will scrutinise processes and work activities and ensure our assets always remain safe and comply with legislative and Cobalt policy requirements.

You will provide a point of contact for Enforcing Authorities relating to fire safety, acting as a point of contact for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services and other relevant enforcement bodies.
