This week is Hate Crime Awareness Week.

Hate crime comes in many different forms and strikes at the heart of communities.

In 2021-22, hate crime reported to our anti-social behaviour (ASB) team accounted for 1% of reports. Merseyside Police also saw 88 reports of hate crime in Fazakerley in the past year.

Together we can all play our part in preventing hate crime to help shape an inclusive and respectful society. Whether it’s physical or verbal, online or in public, report it to stop it by calling Merseyside Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.

After you have reported a hate crime to Merseyside Police, please get in touch with us on 0330 303 2222 to notify our ASB team who are also on hand to help.

If you would prefer to report a hate crime anonymously, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or fill out their online form by clicking here.
