As a community-based landlord and a local anchor institution, we have always been about far more than the great homes we provide, and we strive to maximise the positive impact we make on the lives of people living in our communities.
Our services are shaped by listening to our residents and acting on what they say to create successful, resilient communities where people choose to live and can be their best. It has been a difficult year for our tenants, our communities and our staff as we faced the challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Although the impact of the pandemic has started to reduce, we now face a cost of living crisis. Prices are going up much faster than incomes and this is putting a real squeeze on household budgets. Further big increases in energy prices are due in the Autumn and the Winter months are going to be a real struggle for many families. While these are global and national issues outside of our control, there are some things that Cobalt can and will do to help. We will continue to invest in the priorities of our communities, tackle inequalities, improve health and employment and address a shortfall in homes.
Our Annual Report is designed to give you an insight into what we’ve been doing and how we are continuing to grow and invest in your homes and communities. This report details some of the projects we’ve been working on in Croxteth, Fazakerley and Norris Green, as well as some interesting facts and figures that outline our performance over the past year.
