Claire Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer 

I have spent the majority of my career working in regeneration at organisations in Merseyside and across the North West. 

I joined Cobalt as Chief Executive in August 2022 and immediately saw the opportunity to make a real difference in the communities we serve.  

I have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational direction and success of Cobalt, working closely with our Board and Senior Management Team to ensure that we are a strong and effective landlord.  

I am committed to developing our role to be a growing community anchor organisation, providing additional support in our neighbourhoods to support them to thrive.  

Louise Davies, Executive Director of Communities and Regeneration 

I have worked in social housing since 2002, starting in Asset Management and moving into director and managing director roles at housing associations across the North West.  

I am responsible for development and regeneration, growing our development programme and supporting the long-term financial resilience of Cobalt.  

I am also responsible for Neighbourhoods and Customer Experience, ensuring that we deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. 

My team can help you with everything from moving into and buying your home, welfare benefit support and rent payments, complaints and feedback, anti social behaviour and ways to get involved in our services. 

Ian Hancock, Executive Director of Property 

I trained as a building surveyor, and have worked in social housing for over 30 years, predominantly at associations in the south west and Midlands.  

I have overall responsibility for repairs, asset management, building safety, corporate health and safety, facilities and sustainability.  

My teams can help you with everything relating to your home, from repairs to investment works, gas and electrical safety checks to dealing with damp and mould, ground maintenance to communal cleaning. 

I am Cobalt’s nominated person responsible for health and safety compliance. 

Amy Causley, Executive Director of Corporate Service  

I have worked in housing for a number of years, leading equality and Human Resource functions. I am passionate about developing great colleagues and fostering a great culture where people want to work, thrive and grow.

I have overall responsibility for HR and Marketing and Communications. I also oversee Governance and Assurance at Cobalt Housing.

Our HR Team can support you with all elements of the employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit interviews and everything in between. Our Marketing and Communications Team manages all internal and external communications from branding to marketing, media enquiries to social media and website.

John Webster, Chief Financial Officer

I have worked at Cobalt for 20 years, overseeing HR and Finance and have overall responsibility for Cobalt’s financial performance and long-term viability. I work closely with our Board and Senior Management Team to ensure that we manage our finances effectively and secure the funding needed to deliver our corporate plan and achieve the maximum impact for our customers and communities.  

My team can help you with everything relating to finance, from procuring services for Cobalt to paying invoices.  

Annette Brandwood, Director of Governance and Assurance 

I have worked in not-for-profit and private sector organisations and in the social housing sector since 2006.   

I am responsible for governance and assurance, audit, risk management and internal controls, performance management, insurance and business continuity   

My teams can help you with any governance related matters and accessing your personal information.  

Sequoia Chapman, Director of Digital Transformation 

I have delivered significant digital and wider transformational change projects and programmes across multiple sectors, including health, education and manufacturing.    

I lead our Digital and Transformation teams and have overall responsibility for all of Cobalt’s new digital systems, as well as the wider transformation change programme. This will totally change our customer and colleague experience.  

My teams are transforming the way we work to improve our offer for customers, from bringing in new repairs and housing management systems to working on a new website.
