Each year, our partnerships team allocate funding to support Christmas projects taking place across our #Cobaltcommunity.
We invited community groups and organisations to apply for a small grant of £250 to support the delivery of their festive projects. This year, a total of 19 local groups received a grant with £4,345 being allocated to projects such as Christmas parties, lunches and hampers.
Kayleigh Clarke, Project Officer at Cobalt Housing, said:
“It’s great that Cobalt are in a position to support projects over the festive period, which can be a difficult time for many residents living in our neighbourhoods. I’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing stakeholders and their volunteers who work hard all year round to pull together low cost, inclusive and accessible events for residents in our communities.”
A number of these events will be taking place over the next few weeks, including:
- Bridge community centre (2 Daneville Road, L4 9RG): Ya Ma’s Table Christmas celebration – Friday 9th December from 11am-3pm
- Friends of Norris Green Park (Broad Lane, L11 1BQ): LFC Foundation Winter Wonderland – Saturday 10th December from 10:30am-2:30pm. Register here.
- Beautiful New Beginnings Antenatal and Practical Parenting Courses (Karonga Gardens, L10 9LL): Smores with Santa – Saturday 10th December from 10:30am-12pm. Register here.
- The Quantum Centre (Unit 2, Brookfield Drive, L9 7AJ): Christmas Cracker Craziness – Saturday 10th December from 3pm-5pm
- Triple C Liverpool (Good Shepherd Church, Lower House Lane, L11 2SF): Little Steps Christmas – Monday 12th December from 10:15am-12pm
- Fazakerley Library (Formosa Drive, L10 7LQ): Pre-school Christmas party – Wednesday 14th December from 11:30am-1pm
- Triple C Liverpool (Christ Church, Sedgemoor Road, L11 3BR): Little Lambs Christmas Party – Wednesday 14th December from 10:15am-12pm
- Alt Valley Community Trust (The Communiversity, Altcross Road, L11 0BS): Women’s Group Christmas lunch – Wednesday 14th December from 12pm-2pm
- Croxteth Gems (Armill Road, L11 4TS): Stay & Play Christmas Party – Thursday 15th December from 11am-1pm
- Aerial Gymnastics (Croxteth Sports Centre, Altcross Road, L11 0BS): Christmas Cracker Party – Friday 16th December from 3:45pm-5pm
- Fazakerley Morris Dancers Group (Fazakerley Federation, Formosa Drive, L10 7LQ): Dancers Christmas Party
