We’re delighted to partner with AJ in the community, part of Andersen James, to support our projects and strengthen our commitment and ability to make a difference in local communities.
More than 20 members of staff from Andersen James headed to Karonga Gardens, Fazakerley to get green spaces ready for spring.
Dave Garster, Partnerships Manager at Cobalt Housing, said “This is a great opportunity to join forces with AJ in the Community, where we’ll benefit from their willingness to get involved and help out with the various projects we have in our local communities.
Dawn, who runs Karonga Gardens is overwhelmed by the support and energy the staff at Andersen James have provided, this really has made a difference.”
AJ in the community is the charitable arm to Andersen James and works with local charities to provide financial donations linked to their profits and volunteering hundreds of hours every year to local causes.
James Leighton, CEO of Andersen James Group, said “I’d spoken to Cobalt’s Chief Executive, Claire Griffiths, on my podcast last year, and felt passionate about supporting Cobalt’s commitment to their customers, particularly with their hub still sitting in the heart of Merseyside, which is quite unique nowadays.
We organized a large group to spend a day gardening at Karonga Gardens. Later in the year, we hope to support Cobalt further with some skills and employability workshops hosted by our consultants.
Last year, we spent more than 200 hours volunteering at local charities in Manchester. This is the first time AJ in the Community has partnered with a housing association for our team volunteering, and we hope to continue to add value and strengthen the housing sector from all angles over the upcoming years.”
