We are delighted to secure planning permission to bring 70 new, affordable homes to Croxteth. These homes are alongside Cobalt’s new home commitments at Altbridge Park and Waterdale Gardens, bringing a total of 215 new homes to the area.

Claire Griffiths, Cobalt’s Chief Executive, said:

“We have made a significant commitment to regenerate the Stonedale area of Croxteth, and this £23 million investment to build 70 new homes is the latest phase in this key project. It demonstrates our continued dedication to the communities we work in.”

The regeneration of the Stonedale Estate has already seen us build 57 new homes at Altbridge Park and work continues at our 88 new home development on Waterdale Gardens.

Louise Davies, Executive Director of Communities and Regeneration, said:

“We will deliver 1,000 much-needed affordable homes across Merseyside over the next 10 years. There’s a huge demand for affordable homes in our neighbourhoods, for both rent and products such as shared ownership and rent to buy to help people buy a home of their own.”

New properties will be a mix of one, two, three, four and five bedroom houses, apartments and bungalows for affordable housing options. All homes will be EPC A rated, the highest energy efficiency rating given. We aim to start work in spring 2025.
