Keeping our homes safe and warm is our number one priority, and we are delighted to have secured £4.2 million as part of Warm Homes Social Housing Funding.
This will enable us to improve the energy efficiency of homes across our communities, benefitting many of our residents while contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
The funding, provided by the government’s Warm Homes initiative, will be used to enhance the energy performance of our homes, with energy-saving upgrades including wall and loft insulation and the installation of solar panels and air source heat pumps. These improvements will help to reduce energy bills for residents and the overall environmental impact of our housing stock.
Ian Hancock, Executive Director of Property, said: “Over the coming years, we will invest £110 million into our existing homes and by 2030, 100% of our properties will achieve a minimum of Energy Performance rating of C. The Warm Homes SHDF grant will support our plans to improve the energy efficiency rating of our homes and our road map to zero carbon.”
The funding is part of the government’s ambitious plans to reduce energy consumption and tackle fuel poverty.
