We’re delighted to take handover of new homes at Waterdale Gardens, our mixed-tenure development in Croxteth.

Louise Davis, Cobalt’s Director of Development and Growth, said: “We are delighted to reach such a significant milestone at our Waterdale Gardens development, and we look forward to welcoming customers into their new homes.  Working with Lovell, we have developed a much broader regeneration plan for the Stonedale area, which will see additional new homes and environmental improvements in the coming years.

“As one of Cobalt’s core neighbourhoods, we are committed to improving the longer-term sustainability of our homes, as well as providing new tenures and house types that the local community needs.”

Waterdale Gardens comprises 88 homes for affordable rent, shared ownership and rent-to-buy.

Built by Lovell Partnerships, the homes at Waterdale Gardens will be delivered in phases with the final properties being handed over in summer 2025.

Tahreen Shad, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said: “Having worked in Merseyside for the last two decades, we’re proud to be investing in and delivering schemes such as Stonedale to continue that commitment.

“After initially securing the land for this project, we approached Cobalt and have been working with the team to support its journey into purpose built affordable housing. These first homes are testament to successful design and planning, and the strength of partnerships to bring forward new sites in areas with high demand for homes.”

Grant funding was secured through the Homes England Affordable Homes Programme (AHP) and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Brownfield Land Fund.

The development is a key part of supporting Liverpool City Council’s plans to improve social and economic conditions in priority areas by providing high-quality, affordable homes.
