More than sixty local school children are feeling positive, inspired and confident about their future thanks to a special event at Fazakerley Primary School.

Claire Griffiths, CEO of Cobalt Housing said:

“We have worked with Positive Footprints for over five years and see the impact that the programme can make in raising the aspirations of children living in our communities.

“We are proud of what the children of Fazakerley Primary School have achieved and how their self-confidence and ambition has grown.”

Cobalt Housing partnered with Positive Footprints to bring the special ‘Career Carousel’ event to the school, designed to give children an insight into the world of work and raise their hopes and dreams for the future.

At the event, pupils had the opportunity to explore different career paths by speaking to professionals from organisations who work closely with Cobalt.

Staff from Cobalt Housing, Ecogee, Brabners and Regenda Homes gave up their morning to talk about their career, organisation and what they do at work.

Jo Norwood, Customer Relationship Manager at Positive Footprints, said:

“The investment Cobalt are making to support children and young people in their communities shows how much they care. This event is part of our continued partnership and our shared belief in investing in children’s future, and we look forward to future activity together.”

The event was structured around Cobalt’s four key priorities:

  • Invest in Quality Homes
  • Develop Positive People
  • Provide Excellent Customer Services
  • Support Thriving Communities

Harper, a local schoolchild who attended the event, said:

“I’ve loved today learning about lots of different types of jobs. I’ve learned a lot and I want to do a job that lets me help people.”

The Positive Footprints partnership with Cobalt Housing has created over £103,896 in social value for Cobalt communities, impacting over 15 schools and 675 children and young people in 2023/24.
