We will give you lots of information when you sign your tenancy agreement to help you get the most out of your new home.
Before you move in
Before you move in, we will have carried out repairs and ensured that your home is safe and secure. Your new home will be clean and clear, ready for you to make it your own.
When you move in
- When you move in, we will:
- Tell you the EPC rating for your home
- Give you two sets of door keys
- Give you two fob keys if required
- Give you a copy of your tenancy agreement
- Provide you with a gas and electric safety certificate as part of your sign-up pack
Gas and electrics
If there is a gas supply to your home, we will arrange to carry out a gas safety check and switch your gas on. This is called a ‘test and turn on’.
As a new customer, once you have signed up and are ready to move in, you must organise a ‘test and turn on’. This test will ensure that your heating and hot water is working correctly and is safe. You can organise this visit by calling our switchboard on 0330 303 2222.
We will show you where your gas and/or electric meters are and how to use them.
