Joseph is currently completing his Kickstart placement with us as a HR Administrator.

Joseph had previously considered a career in HR and discovered this Kickstart placement on a recruitment site.

“This placement has given me the opportunity to learn more about forming and maintaining employee records, updating databases, and preparing and amending HR documents.”

After Joseph completes his Kickstart placement at Cobalt, he is interested in securing a permanent position as a HR Administrator.

“I have really enjoyed the Kickstart experience at Cobalt so far. The HR team are very helpful and are always available for help or advice when needed. The skills I am developing will help me in my career moving forward.”

“I would really recommend the Kickstart programme, as this role has given me necessary skills and experience I need to apply for HR positions in the future. My advice to anyone starting a Kickstart placement would be to listen to everything you are taught so you can practice these skills in your placement and effectively implement them in future positions”.

If you are age 16-24, unemployed and currently on Universal Credit, a Kickstart placement could be for you. Kickstart is designed to help you develop the skills and experience you need to find work, through valuable six-month job placements. To learn more about the Kickstart programme, please click here.
