Did you know, 1.4 million older people in the UK are often lonely, and more than a million older people say they go over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member. If you or someone you know is feeling lonely or isolated, there are a number of clubs and activities you can get involved with at community groups across our neighbourhoods!

• Norris Green Community Alliance run a lunch club that may be of interest to some of our residents age 50+. The next lunch club will take place on Thursday 12th May from 12-2pm, where you can enjoy a delicious two course meal, two games of bingo and a chat!

• Fazakerley Community Federation & Library run a free afternoon tea on the first Thursday of every month (with a small charge for a game of bingo)! To find out more about the next event, please email: [email protected]

• Croxteth Family Matters run a ‘relax with crafts’ session from 9am-12pm on Tuesdays, which involved knitting, card making and other craft activities. This is also a great opportunity for residents to make new friends while having a cuppa and a chat!
