We know that instances of domestic abuse increase during sporting events, and with the World Cup underway, we want you to know that we are here if you need us.  

Statistics from Solace Women’s Aid show that when England lose a game, instances of domestic abuse increase by 38%. They increase by 26% when England win.

If you or someone you know is being hurt physically, emotionally, sexually, psychologically or financially, don’t suffer in silence. 

There’s lots of support available:

Victim Care Merseyside offers a free confidential helpline for anyone affected by domestic abuse.

· Liverpool Domestic Abuse Services (LDAS) – 0151 263 7474

 A community-based service that specialises in the support of women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse.
