Liverpool City Council recently identified a van fly-tipping in the Stalisfield Avenue area of our Norris Green neighbourhood, which had also been involved in a number of other serious fly-tipping cases.

Liverpool City Council contacted us about this case to see if our neighbourhood teams could keep an eye out for the vehicle on their rounds. One of our officers spotted the van and offenders fly-tipping, and sent photographic evidence to Liverpool City Council so the van could be seized.

Following this, Merseyside Police discovered that the vehicle had no road tax, and the van was then crushed.

We pride ourselves on working in partnership with Liverpool City Council to keep Liverpool tidy and ensure those responsible for fly-tipping are penalised. We’d also like to say a big thank you to tenants who are getting in touch with us and Liverpool City Council to report offenders.

Please remember it is an offence to fly-tip on Cobalt, council or private-owned land. Fly-tipping is a breach of your tenancy agreement, and if you are caught, you could be issued with a fine.

If you spot fly tipping in your area, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. You can also report fly-tipping to Liverpool City Council via their online form.
