The new Emergency Alerts system will be tested nationally on Sunday 23rd April at 3pm.

Emergency Alerts is a UK government service that will warn you if there’s a danger to life nearby.

In an emergency, your mobile phone or tablet will receive an alert with advice about how to stay safe. Your mobile phone or tablet may:

  • make a loud siren-like sound, even if it’s set on silent
  • vibrate
  • read out the alert

If you’re living with domestic abuse and you have a mobile phone hidden in your home, please remember to switch it off on Sunday 23rd April. Cobalt tenants can report incidents of domestic abuse to us on 0330 303 2222, or by visiting our main reception on Lower House Lane.

The sound and vibration will last for about 10 seconds. To learn more, please click here.
