A morning of community action and an afternoon of family fun were the order of the day at our Sparrow Hall event on Friday 1st November!

We provided skips across the neighbourhood, and six tons of waste were safely disposed of by mid-morning.

We had 20+ community partners on hand to offer advice, support and sign people up, for welfare benefits, fuel vouchers and many more.

The local community got the chance to look inside a Merseyside Police camera van and try a trade with hands-on plastering and plumbing. There was also a video booth for people to tell us about improvements they’d like to see in their area.

With face painting for the kids and amazing prizes up for grabs, including £100 towards a tablet and toy shop vouchers, a great day was had by all.

“It was fantastic to see so many local services come together, lots of families enjoying themselves and children with big smiles on their faces, a real community feel.  Thank you to everyone who attended! We’d love to hear your ideas for next year’s Sparrowhall event!” said Christine Simpkin, our Customer Lead for Fazakerley and Sparrow Hall.
