On Monday 18th August 2025 some changes are being made to the Property Pool Plus Scheme.
Most people will not see any change to their Property Pool Plus (PPP) application.
You do not need to contact PPP.
If your application is to be changed in anyway, Property Pool Plus will write to you. If you do not hear from them, you can take it that there has been no change to your application.
The main changes being made include:
- Some people who are living in homeless commissioned hostels and supported accommodation are being moved from Band B to Band A.
- The discretion section of the policy has been changed. This includes the option for local authorities to do direct lettings for some of their properties, rather than advertising them through Property Pool Plus. You can find out more about any direct lettings that are happening now, via this link.
- A 5% cap is being put in place for the number of properties that can be allocated to people who are resident in a different local authority area. The 5% cap will be subject to exemptions for Armed Forces, those who need to move due to domestic abuse, and young people leaving the care of the local authority.
