We’re seeking to appoint two Trainee Board Members as part of an exciting development programme delivered in partnership with the Housing Diversity Network (HDN).
This unique opportunity is designed for people who may never have considered a Board role before. Whether you’re looking to develop your skills, broaden your experience or help shape the future of local communities, our Board Trainee Programme could be the perfect place to start.
As a Trainee Board Member, you’ll gain first-hand insight into how a housing association operates, attending Board and Committee meetings while receiving dedicated training, mentoring and support throughout the programme. You’ll learn how strategic decisions are made, develop your leadership and influencing skills, and gain valuable experience that could support future Board or senior leadership roles.
No previous Board experience is required. We’re keen to hear from people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives who are passionate about supporting communities and making a positive difference.
Pam Smith, Chair of Cobalt’s Board, said:
“We believe our Board is strongest when it reflects the diversity, experiences and aspirations of the communities we serve. Our Board Trainee Programme provides a unique opportunity for people with curiosity, commitment and fresh perspectives to develop their skills and influence our future. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and look forward to supporting the next generation of board members.”
