Bathrooms and toilets

Before any work begins, we’ll carry out a survey to understand your current bathroom layout and how we can make the best use of the space available.

In some homes, we may need to arrange an asbestos survey before work starts. If this is required, we’ll let you know in advance and explain what to expect. If asbestos is identified, it will be safely removed before any work begins to help keep you and your home safe.

As part of your bathroom or wet room replacement, we’ll usually update the main features within your existing space. This can include a new sink, bath, extractor fan, toilet, tiles and flooring, creating a fresh, modern and practical bathroom for you to enjoy.

Our contractor will talk you through the design of your new bathroom and explain what to expect throughout the process. Baths, sinks and toilets are provided in standard white, so there won’t be a choice of colour for these items. Once your design has been agreed, we’ll finalise the plans and begin preparing for the work to start.

In some cases, we may also need to upgrade your electrics or carry out plastering work. If this is required, we’ll explain why and keep you fully informed throughout.

Disruption

You won’t be able to use your bathroom while the work is taking place. However, before leaving your home each day, we’ll make sure you have access to a working toilet and washing facilities.

Time

Fitting your new bathroom or wet room usually takes around 10 working days to complete.
