Radiator replacements
Your new radiators will help keep your home warm, comfortable and more energy efficient.
Each radiator will be carefully selected to suit the size and layout of the room, and fitted with a thermostatic valve so you can easily control the temperature in each space.
To carry out the work, we’ll need access to every room with a radiator. We’ll safely turn off and drain your heating system before installing the new radiators. Once everything is fitted, we’ll restart the system and carry out thorough checks to make sure it’s working properly, so you can enjoy your improved heating as soon as possible.
Please make sure you have enough credit on your gas meter on the day of your appointment so we can fully test your heating system before we leave.
Disruption
Our contractor will need access to each room where radiators are being replaced. If your home has any rooms without a radiator, we may install one as part of the Decent Homes Standard to help ensure your home is heated effectively.
If you need temporary heating while the work is taking place, please let us know. We’ll be happy to arrange this for you.
Time
Replacing all the radiators in a typical three-bedroom home usually takes around two days.
Boiler replacements
A new boiler can make a real difference to your home, providing reliable heating and hot water while using energy more efficiently than older models. We’ll select a boiler that’s suitable for the size and needs of your home to help ensure the best performance.
To carry out the installation, we’ll need access to the room where your existing boiler is located. We’ll safely turn off and drain your heating system before fitting the new boiler. Once it’s installed, we’ll restart the system and carry out thorough checks to make sure everything is working as it should. Before we leave, we’ll also show you how to use your new boiler, so you feel confident getting the most from it.
In some homes, we may need to arrange an asbestos survey before work begins. If this is required, we’ll let you know in advance and explain what to expect. If asbestos is identified, it will be safely removed before any work starts to help keep you and your home safe.
Disruption
Our contractor will need access to the room where your boiler is located. During the installation, your heating and hot water will be temporarily switched off.
If you need temporary heating while the work is taking place, please let us know and we’ll be happy to arrange this for you.
Before our team arrives, we recommend filling a few pans or containers with water, along with your kettle. Your water supply may need to be turned off for a short time while your new boiler is installed, so having some water available will help you make drinks, wash your hands and carry out other everyday tasks until the work is complete.
