These improvement works will ensure that your home meets the Government’s Decent Homes Standard, our own Cobalt Homes Standard and provides the best possible living environment for you and your family.

We have lots of information about all the properties we manage, including when we need to replace certain parts. When your home has been identified as needing improvement works to be carried out, this must be done within an agreed timescale. If the dates we provide are not suitable, please let us know and we will reschedule the work.

We’ll arrange to visit you to assess your home, explain the improvement works needed and to agree a plan with you. If further surveys or other visits are needed, we will explain the reasons why and agree on the next steps with you.

The improvement works planned for your home will bring numerous benefits. We will support you throughout the entire process and explain your tenancy commitments to Cobalt Housing.

For some essential works, including structural repairs, energy efficiency improvements and roofing works, we may not be able to accept a refusal as these are required to keep your home safe, compliant and well maintained. We will always discuss the work with you, explain why it is needed and support you with any concerns or specific needs.
