Before any work begins, we’ll visit your home to carry out a survey and spend time understanding how you use your kitchen. We’ll talk through the layout with you and make sure your new kitchen is designed around your needs.
Our contractor will then support you in choosing your new kitchen, helping you explore different styles and select the colours, doors, worktops and flooring that work best for you. Once your design has been agreed, we’ll start bringing your new kitchen to life – including any plastering needed and finishing touches such as painting your kitchen walls.
Sometimes, we may need to make changes to your kitchen layout to meet current legislation and safety standards. These requirements may have changed since your kitchen was last replaced. If changes are needed, we’ll explain why and work with you to make sure your new kitchen is safe, practical and meets your needs.
In some homes, we may need to arrange an asbestos survey before work begins. If this is required, we’ll let you know and explain what happens next. If asbestos is found, it will be safely removed before any work starts, helping to keep you and your home safe.
We may also need to carry out other improvements, such as upgrading your electrics or completing additional plastering work. If this is needed, we’ll talk you through everything beforehand and keep you informed throughout the process.
If you have an American-style fridge freezer, please note that it is your responsibility to arrange for it to be safely moved out of the kitchen before the works commence. The contractors will not be able to move this appliance for you. If it has not been removed before the start date, this may delay the commencement of the works.
Disruption
We’ll carefully remove your existing kitchen and replace it with new units, worktops and flooring to give your space a fresh new look. While the work is underway, your kitchen won’t be in use, but we’ll do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum.
All of your current appliances will be safely moved out of the kitchen during the work. To support you while this is happening, we’ll provide temporary cooking facilities and a temporary sink so you can continue to manage day-to-day tasks.
Time
A kitchen replacement takes approximately 15 working days to complete.

Hear from our customers
Sue from Norris Green recently had her kitchen replaced; hear what she had to say about the process here:
“I’m absolutely made up with it.
I’d give it 10 out of 10 – everyone cleaned up after themselves, they were on time, and the whole process was really well managed.”
The work took around two weeks from start to finish, and Sue felt supported throughout. Being involved in the design process from the beginning meant the finished kitchen suited her needs perfectly.
“I now love coming into my kitchen. My last one was about 16 years old, so it was starting to feel quite dated. This one just feels modern and fresh.
“The benefit of having a new, modern kitchen is completely worth it.
“I’d definitely recommend it. The whole process from start to finish was quick, clean, and really straightforward, and I’d encourage other customers to take part in planned works and allow access for surveys.”
